Again, please be there at least 15 minutes in advance so we can depart on time. We may also add a pick-up point in Bucerias for our friends in Nayarit.

On our way to Guadalajara we will stop in the town of Tequila, Jalisco for a tour of the world famous Casa Herradura-Hacienda San Jose del Refugio for a
90 minute tour of the Hacienda, tequila factory and tasting area. The tequila tour admission is also included in the package price.
This is a great way to see the best tequila factory in the area without making a trip there on your own, which usually is priced at $75 US per person, RT.

Once we head into Guadalajara, we will stop for a two hour shopping spree in Tlaquepaque, home to amazing art, furnishings, home decor, dinner ware, glass and more. There is also a great little restaurant, El Patio, the perfect place to grab a drink or a snack. From there,  we will go directly to the Hotel Cervantes so everyone can check-in, relax a bit.

This and the rest of the night is free time for everyone, although we there will be an optional group dinner (not included) at the well-known and very reasonably priced restaurant, La Fonda de San Miguel, a former convent converted to a gorgeous restaurant with fantastic Mexican dinners, walking distance from the Hotel. We will meet in the lobby at 8:00 PM for dinner at La Fonda de San Miguel. If you'd like to go off on your own, the bilingual guides will offer you advice on where to go and what to do for the evening. This is your time, so feel free to explore or hang out with the group.

Breakfast on Saturday morning is available starting at 7:00 AM when the restaurant opens. We will meet in the lobby at 9:00 AM for a walking tour (optional) of the sites in the Centro/Historical district and get you oriented with the area. We will visit the Cathedral, the Government building with Orozco murals, plazas, Mercado and more.

The tour is about 90 minutes, so you can use this time to keep walking with the map provided and explore the Hospicios de las Cabanas (with the amazing murals by Jose Clemente Orozco) and the Mercado San Juan de Dios, the largest market in Latin America.

At 4:00 PM, we'll meet in the hotel lobby for anyone wanting a "Mall Experience" , we'll travel by our motorcoach to the modern La Gran Plaza Mall for more shopping, an optional dinner at any one of their sit-down restaurants or food court, whatever you decide. This again is free time to explore the Mall, buy those things you cannot find in Vallarta, have dinner or catch a movie at the theater there. La Gran Plaza has a Sears with a Pier One Imports shop inside, Fabricas de Francia, Sanborn's and a huge variety of specialty shops, restaurants and even a casino and movie theater. Oh, and a Dairy Queen! If you chose to go to La Gran Plaza you can take a taxi back to the Hotel Cervantes at your leisure for about 60 to 70 Pesos.

Sunday morning, we rise and shine early. Breakfast is at 7:00 AM and we will depart at 7:45 AM to go to Tonala, arriving around 8:15 AM for the fabulous Sunday shopping markets. Here is where you will find a plethora of things from home furnishings, art, décor, glassware and everything in between at great prices, usually around 1/3 to 1/2  of the prices of the same items in Vallarta.
Once everyone has found all the treasures they can find, we will re-group at our meeting point and depart around 11:30 AM.  we will stop for lunch along the way (Lunch not included in price) at a great restaurant that features everything from shrimp, to enchiladas, burgers to pizza and very reasonably priced.
